Daily Rotterdam | For your daily needs
Settled at the Kop van Zuid, Daily Rotterdam is a place where you can get your emergency daily groceries. Alternatively, get your daily cup of joe to start your work mode.Daily Rotterdam opened at the beginning of Summer 2017, and it is already a hit with the local students and all the big offices that are surrounding them. When we got a chance to visit, we just stumbled right in the middle of lunchtime. That means, tons of people getting their sandwich because you cannot work on an empty stomach. If you are planning to visit them, you can go early in the morning to catch a breakfast before you head off to work (try the granola, it is to die for) or later in the afternoon. The place is not that big; it has a few tables on one side and a few window/wall seats on the other side. It has a significant amount of natural light coming in, and if you are hanging out on the window seatings, you will have a stunning view of the Erasmus bridge. It might distract you from doing work though ;). The sandwiches are not the most creative out there, but they are delicious! You can choose if you want to have it on slices of bread or if you up for some adventure we recommend to try out the Barra Gallega. A little Spanish baguette baked on a stone. We had one with Iberico ham, pesto, and tomatoes. The bread does give it a little extra, and with coffee from famous Rotterdam roastery Giraffe, you cannot go wrong.
This place is not just a coffee bar and lunchroom. It is also a mini market where you can get the essentials. When you run out of drinks or in desperate need of chocolate, they have it. Considering they are open on the weekends, you can even get some breakfast for your loved ones. Everybody loves them some breakfast in bed 😉
