Heilige Boontjes | From the streets to the best coffee.
From the streets; to the best-roasted coffee in town. Heilige Boontjes is not your ordinary coffee bar. For once, they are situated in an old police station and second they have a great space where you can sit down and get tons of work done.
I already said it; this is not your ordinary coffee bar. It is also a place where they teach people who are distanced from the job market and help them to get back on their feet so that they be a proud member of society again. Everybody has their story in this bar, but that does not hold them back to make you that excellent coffee every single time you order it. The coffee is strong, has great flavor and they always make it with a lot of TLC. The place might look small when you enter, but at the back, you can find big tables where you can have meetings (big or small), read a book or hide behind your laptop. When I came in around noon, space was already full of students, locals, and even some tourists. If you don’t feel like hanging around with a big crowd, you can also sit at the smaller tables in the front. I prefer that because it has much more daylight coming in and it’s closer to the counter if I in need of a snack. The menu isn’t that big or very unique but whatever you choose it does fills your belly. If you can’t get enough of the coffee. The Heilige boontjes coffee beans are freshly roasted on their location at the Burgemeester Meineszplein and packed so that you buy the coffee for at home.
Heilige Boontjes is not your ordinary coffee bar. For once, they are situated in an old police station and second they have a great space where you can sit down and get tons of work done. The place is big, has enough daylight and the coffee is to die for.
