Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport |
When we got invited for a stay at Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport, we didn’t know what to expect. So with an open mind, we jumped into this hotel adventure!
The Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is just a stone throw away from the airport (hence the name). So it is perfect if you are traveling for business and you need a place for one or two nights before you jet off again (they have a well-organized shuttle service from en to the airport). Alternatively, if travel with the family and you care more about sleep than dancing your night away in Amsterdam city center, then this is also for you.
When we arrived at the Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport, we got a warm welcome from the staff. After check-in, we got to see the room, and they did not lie about the size and the view. The place is spacious (more significant than our tiny house), has windows for days and since it is so close to the airport, you could see all the way till Schiphol. Moreover, now and then you could see airplanes take off and land. All the rooms are equipped with a desk with light, multiple power sockets (working from bed is also an option), tv, big closet to store your belongings and even an ironing board to keep your dress shirt crisp. If you don’t feel like working from the room, you can also hang out in the lobby. They have multiple seats where you can sit down and get some work done.
Situated next to the airport, in a more industrial area, means that you are limited to staying close to the hotel, but don’t worry the staff will make you feel as if you were home. From laundry service to an Odds & Ends menu of must-have items to buy, borrow or enjoy for free.
They have a 24/7 gallery kitchen that will take care of your rumbling stomach. You can pick something from the menu or sit down and enjoy the buffet. They have a great selection of dishes; you have the chance to try different things. After dinner, you can sit down for at the bar for one of their cocktails. We couldn’t resist to try out their signature Hyatt Gin (yes! they have their own gin). During summertime, you can enjoy some time on their terrace, where they occasionally throw cocktail parties like it’s 1999.
Our verdict; Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is in our opinion perfect if you travel a lot for business and you are looking for a place that will suit your needs (good wifi, power sockets, good food). All rooms come with complimentary breakfast buffet; you don’t even have to think about making your eggs in the morning.
The Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is just a stone throw away from the airport. Perfect if you are traveling for business and you need a place for one or two nights before you jet off again. Rooms are well equipped with power sockets, lounge area and a little desk where you can set up your mobile office.
