Op het Dak | workspace with a view

Rooftop gardening is booming! You can find these gardens all over the world on any suitable roof. Just a few minutes walking from Rotterdam Central station, you can find the largest Rooftop farm in Europe; ‘The DakAkker‘. This rooftop is a test site to experiment with different ways of farming in the city. Fruits, vegetables, herbs and even bees are being kept here! And along with all that gardening, comes a rooftop bistro called Op het Dak where you can hang out all day long.Op het dak workspace Op het dak is the brainchild of Valerie Kuster. She is the chef and creative mastermind behind this place and all the great dishes. It does not only look good, but it also tastes amazing! The doors open at 900 AM in the morning. If you are an early bird, this is your spot! Catch a great breakfast with a fancy coffee from Stielman Roastery. Although, we could recommend you to drop in for lunch. We had the Buddha Bowl, and that was to die for (maybe because there was kimchi in it)! All the dishes are fresh made and the menu seasonal, so that means it will change. All te reason to come back for more ;).Op het dak workspace Op het dak workspace We went on a Wednesday afternoon, it wasn’t busy at all, so there was enough room for us to work and hang out. We can imagine that it could be quite busy during lunch ours. So, be warned. The bistro is not that super spacious, but it has great daylight ├índ it is located on the 7th Floor with view of the Rotterdam skyline….
