StationsHuiskamer | Den Haag
You might have seen the StationsHuiskamers already when you are passing by The Hague Central Station and Rotterdam Central Station; this article highlights everything about The Hague StationsHuiskamer. After extensive renovations and redesigning on both train stations, they added a very welcome coffee/lunch spot to make waiting for the train a less dreary and cold happening.
If you are looking for a place for a conference or for getting some work done before you catch a train, this is sure one of the most central locations to start your day. Located in the Hague Central Station, you can find the StationsHuiskamer on the first floor. With the view on departing and arriving trains, you will never be late again for work. When entering the room, it looks like a design living room that comes from a magazine. There is an enormous homey sofa; for the couch potatoes, high tables with where you can charge your phone (bonus points!), smaller tables for two or four and of course a lot of cozy corners with comfortable seats. Also, with power sockets almost everywhere, you can plop down and set up your workstation. StationsHuiskamer is no doubt a favorite hangout for a lot of digital nomads, students, co-working colleagues and everybody who passes-by. Moreover, this place turns waiting for a train in an enjoyable experience (no more waiting on cold platforms!). Even though this living is whirring with high energy, which gives you the boost you need to get things done, it still feels very intimate and warm. Moreover, on the first glance, it looks like it is very crowded with tables, you still have much privacy to have conference calls or meetings. We do recommend to fuel up with some coffee. The beans are coming from well-known roastery Santas. Where they only work with the best fair trade coffee beans.
Also, if you get hangry very quickly (and you did not bring lunch); don’t worry they have a very affordable menu. If you cannot decide what you want, just ask the employees, they are happy to help you out. Our server recommends the pizza, and we had no regrets. Moreover, no shame having pizza for lunch
